We were energized during our time as exhibitors at EASTEC 2013 in Springfield, MA, last week. Building 3 of the facility was abuzz with innovation. Interested attendees, asking all the right questions, flooded the floor for all three days, including representatives from small and large manufacturers, local and international companies. The show truly lived up to it's tagline "human ingenuity, manufacturing brilliance". If you're involved in industry in the Northeast, or want to be, we recommend you get involved with EASTEC, sponsored by SME.

We recently exhibited Intercept Technology Packaging at MFG4 in Hartford, CT, an event hosted and produced by SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers), which provided a bird's eye view of amazing and innovative technology in the fields of medicine, aerospace, defense and energy.
Liberty Packaging Co. will exhibit Intercept Technology Packaging products at the upcoming MFG4 in Hartford, CT - May 8 - 10 at the Connecticut Convention Center. Sponsored by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, MFG4 is a conference featuring supply chain solutions across four key industries: aerospace, defense, medical and energy.
How refreshing! Hartford's Mayor, Pedro E. Segarra, told our group: “Hartford is fun.” Fun! He wasn’t complaining about the state of budgets and economic affairs within our glorious country, which is all that seems to be trumpeted today. It wasn’t “despite the economic shortfalls of federal allocation to states and cities...blah, blah, blah"; instead he proudly spoke of Hartford’s great and diverse restaurants rivaling the cuisine of other nearby cities like Boston, New York, and Providence. Hartford, CT, welcomes visitors with museums, luxury hotels, parks (Bushnell Park pictured), city walks, theaters, historical sites, free city transports, and “trained advisors” (essentially “security forces”), all within a short distance of the fairly new Connecticut Conference Center. “We will welcome you and your guest. All will feel safe and have fun enjoying our city... after a couple of days at the show, the local business owners will know your name,” claimed Mayor Segarra.
We spent three days on the trade show floor at EASTEC 2011 last week and had a blast. EASTEC is hosted by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and is the largest manufacturing trade show on the East Coast. It was the most fun I've ever had at an event like this. Our philosophy on trade shows is that attendees are there to learn about new products, machinery, techniques, and procedures. We, as an exhibitor, are there to ask questions of those who may have challenges with corrosion or ESD and want a new oil-free and environmentally safe solution with packaging.
